On March 13, a group of 15 students from the Master’s in Information Systems Management at UPC Peru (Peruvian University of Sciences) visited IThinkUPC as part of their stay at the Fundació Politècnica de Catalunya. Throughout the week, the students are touring various leading ICT companies in Catalonia to gain first-hand insight into innovative projects and success stories.
During their visit to IThinkUPC, the students had the opportunity to learn about the company and gain deeper insight into our work in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering. The session was led by Angello Suárez, Natalia Gamarra, and Andrés Navarro-Soto, who shared practical examples and real-world experiences of applying these technologies.
During the session, several projects were presented within three key areas:
Generative AI:
- Chatbot for comparing insurance products.
- Chatbot for answering questions and searching for information.
- Generation of composite sketches.
- Reimagining images based on training photos.
Industry 4.0:
- Digitization of the planning and logistics system.
- Digitalization of S&OP.
- Product recommender.
Business Intelligence:
- LEAN +: Learning Analytics.
Throughout the session, the students showed particular interest in topics such as development methodologies, Moodle, and Artificial Intelligence, asking various questions about these areas. The meeting took place in a friendly and participatory atmosphere, and the attendees expressed their satisfaction with the experience.
This visit has been an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and bring the reality of the Catalan ICT sector closer to professionals in training from other countries. At IThinkUPC, we highly value these types of initiatives that promote collaboration and learning in a global environment.
