On July 10, in our segment on L’Altra Ràdio (Ràdio 4, RNE), Javier Otero and Marcos Montero, heads of Marketing and Digital Transformation at IThinkUPC, discussed key strategies for optimizing the results obtained from generative artificial intelligence (AI) systems and shared valuable tips on crafting effective prompts.
Prompts are the instructions we give to generative AI systems, such as ChatGPT, to produce a specific output. Javier and Marcos have shared the following tips for writing them effectively:
- Provide details about the role that the AI system is expected to fulfill in the given task.
- Supply relevant context, such as writing style, references, authors, and intended purpose, to guide the AI system.
- Describe the task in a clear and straightforward manner: be specific, and consider using the imperative voice. If the task is complex, it’s best to divide it into subtasks.
- Specify the output format by clearly describing how you want the final result to be presented.
