On January 9th, in our segment on the radio show L’Altra Ràdio (Ràdio 4, RNE), Javier Otero and Marcos Montero, heads of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation at IThinkUPC, talked about the concept of vibe coding and how artificial intelligence is changing the way we design and interact with software.
They explained that vibe coding consists of programming with the help of artificial intelligence, where you are responsible for explaining what you want to achieve and the system generates the necessary code, saving you a large part of the manual work. At IThinkUPC, we have already incorporated this methodology into our daily routine, using it both as an assistant that suggests code improvements and to plan projects from scratch. This shift implies that technical profiles are evolving: we are moving from being strictly programmers to becoming architects and product-oriented individuals who supervise and guide AI to ensure optimal quality standards.
This technological transformation also allows us to completely rethink the user experience, moving from applications based on navigation and forms to intent-based interfaces. This means that, in the future, you won’t have to search for complex filters in your banking app; you will simply be able to express what you need in natural language and the system, which will know your habits, will offer you a personalized solution in a proactive and transparent way.
